I am trying to get hold of this file ( wcapi.dll ) which is missing on my
PC and I cannot find it anywhere I have searched the Windows XP disc and
google but just cannot seem to find it anywhere to download.
Apparently it should live in the C:\windows\system32 directory I think.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
This message about wcapi.dll file missing came up after I tried updating
drivers for a philips USB wireless adaptor.
does anyone know what the wcapi.dll does / is?
Thanks,
Andy.
As far as I know wcapi.dll is not a genuine dll. Your computer may be
infected with spyware which is causing the wcapi.dll missing message to
appear. See http://www.spyware-browser.com/items/-/58450/.
According to the net wcapi.dll is an adware downloader/provider;
you really don't want it!

That's the problem - I haven't got the file that's why its saying it cannot
find it. But this seems to have come about after I download a file from
Philips website for their 802.11g usb adaptor I cant see them putting
spyware into their download files.
I think the file can either be a bona fide file that fits into the
windows/system32 folder or it can be spyware although I have just done
another virus check and spyware check on windows and it came back clear.
