It is fast approaching the time when I will have to do a fresh
reinstall of XP Pro.
I found somewhere in my magazines that there are two files
that can be copied and added to the fresh install so that the
activation can be carried through for XP without contacting
Microsoft again.
Does anyone know if the same applies to Office Pro 2003 ?
This would save all of the rigmarole of phoning Microsoft to
re-activate.

You shouldn't have to call them if you haven't re-installed for some
time. I don't recall what the limits are, but I've done this in the past
without having to resort to calling them.
