Thanks for that. I have put back the IDE drive with Win2k on it and made sure the computer boots up OK. Then plugged in one of the two SATA drives and boot up. The SATA drive is shown as being connected but is not seen in disk management or in win explorer.
Does it not show at all in disk management? Usually it will be sitting there waiting to be partitioned and formatted.
