I have much the same question - I see the linksys wireless router SRX
and the netgear wpn824 Rangemax praised in the Jan 2006 edition of
"Which" and the Belkin wireless Pre-N praised by PC Pro so I'm
wondering what the views of the group are on these and whether there's
any other brands you'd recommend.

Both of these were slated somewhat in PC Plus this month. The main problem
was that the max speeds were in the 20-30Mbps region, not the 300Mbps quoted,
and the uncertainty that the pre-N kit could be upgraded to full-N when the
time comes. Also, they said that they're really over-priced. From the
review, it looks like some of the Belkin or Netgear 11g+ kit would be better -
lower price, faster transfer (although you only get the faster speeds if you
use the same manufacturer's kit for all your devices).
