Looking for a mouse

In the course of collecting together various goodies to send to Melanesia,
someone offered me a computer (had Windows 95 on it, which can give some
idea of its age). Sadly, there was no mouse.
No problem, thought I. I have a couple of spare mice which someone else
had donated, but when I tried to plug them in, there was no socket to be
seen of the right (small and circular) shape. Just a 9-pin Centronics type
which (as was subsequently explained to me) was probably a serial port,
since some early mice plugged into a serial port).
So, has anyone got a spare mouse of that sort of vintage? I could send the
computer mouseless to Melanesia, but I would imagine that strange mice
would be even harder to obtain there.
