It does install from a DOS prompt but the SETUP.EXE in the root folder
of the CD is a Windows application.
To set it up from DOS, change to the i386 folder and type WINNT
Thanks. It installed using i386\winnt.exe. (starting smartdrv before
install speeded things up enormously.)
One problem with the install.
At boot time I get a "dual boot" menu:
1) Win2k
2) OS previously installed on C:
But I wiped the HD before installing Win2k. Win2k is now on C:
Choosing Option 2) gives a blank screen and the computer locks up.
Looks like a File Allocation Table issue -- any ideas on this?
Run the recovery console from the install CD and type 'fixboot'. This
writes a new MBR and should elliminate your problem.
