One possibility is TotalRecorder from www.highcriteria.com. Not free, but
not expensive either. Will record any sound on your machine to a variety of
formats. You need to download the "lame encoder" from the Highcriteria site
and save it in the TotalRecorder program folder to be able to save as MP3.
Highly recommended.
