It's a file association thing. Go to Windows Explorer (as admin) and
visit
tools, folder options, then the "file types" tab. Set the ASP (and ASPX)
extensions to open with your preferred browser, and set the "open" action
as
the default. Should fix it.

Have checked that and it doesn't work. I open plenty of other *.asp websites
in my browser without difficulty. But thanks for the suggestion.
