Anyone who uses Force 9 will have found that their email was down all
this afternoon - it still is.

I've finally managed to get onto the portal to check the Service
Status and found out:

- a brief power outage took down their email server (certainly POP,
maybe SMTP) and their portal server

- they expect it to take several hours to resume normal service:
there's a lot of email queued up on another server which is gradually
being transferred to the POP server

- they are looking into why their UPS didn't do its proper job
(whoops!)
- news, web browsing and broadband access were not affected by this

Also meant to say:

It's no good trying to access your email by webmail at the moment: when I
looked (the one time when it let me on) my inbox was empty, both of brand
new mail and also recent historical email which I have configured Outlook
Express to leave on the server for a few days.

Hopefully all the email will come back over the next few hours.
