Well, what can I say to deny that :-)
I have been working with the
computers of the disadvantaged for many years now. It's just that I
can't think what mobo a 4 Gig drive would have been hooked up to when
new.
Not too sure what the question is but if you're trying to see what sort of PC would have a 4 giga drive when new then I suspect around a 233 MHz at worst or a 350Mhz at best. The latter will allow XP (just, but I've done it).
That is the type of answer I was looking for.
Marcus mentioned a range of speed that agrees with this.
I'll go away and have a think about how this computer can be improved within the budget I expect (single parent, no spare cash. I am used to this.)
