Tony & Philip,

Thanks both for the info. I suspected as much but wasn't sure.
I'd brought his machine round here to load some software and
afterwards, while checking that everything was OK, couldn't get
into AOL. Now I know that it normally can't be done from a BT
Broadband line, I'll take it back to his place and work from
there.
