The OP could try an "XP repair install", but if he's installed XP service
pack2, that has to be done using a "slipstreamed" XP SP2 CD.
A google for the phrases in quotes will bring up info. on how to do
this, but a 2nd working PC will be needed to create a slipstreamed
XP SP2 CD if he hasn't already made one.
