I'm fed up with pop up

Having just got a new laptop, I'm thoroughly fed up with pop ups constantly reminding me that I need to do this and that. I un-installed the Norton and McAfee malware straight away, but still get many pop ups from adobe and from the computer manufacturer.

My suggestion is to have such reminders re-directed to a place in the computer where I can examine them at my leisure; not getting interrupted in my work. Why has anybody not invented such a system?
