Jim - no, I found XPs uninstall worked eventually between the thrashing. I meant the prompt to survey failed miserably - so I
couldn't offer my 2p.

Generally, opinions seem favourable for avg9(f) but I tell it how I find it. I'd uninstalled 8.5, loaded the fresh 78Mb? v9 and
later (+1 day) had problems. The only thing of note was a moan by avg9 that it didn't like my S3Gamma (I think it was the gamma)
utility running. Tough, I do and I want to keep running it.

Time (for me) to look into running something else I think. I still do wonder how the AV fraternity feel about MSE.
