Is there a way of telling what date Windows was booted for the first
time? Maybe it's saved in the registry somewhere, or there's a
particular file's date/time stamp that can be relied upon to give
this info. I'm trying to find the exact date I built the machine and
installed
Windows (Vista if that makes any difference).
TIA,

Run systeminfo from a command window then scroll up half a mile,
it'll be near the top.
But not necessarily accurate. On mine, it says my XP install in 2005.
The HDD was reformatted and XP reinstalled in Jan this year
