Hi
If I try to boot into WinXP with a new external h/d attached to any
USB port, I get the message "Boot disk not found". I have to wait
just after the boot process starts, then plug in the PSU to the
drive. Any Mass Storage USB device such as a pendrive will render
Disk0 invisible. A7N8X deluxe v2 bios v1013mod. Disk0 containing C on
RAID with a 2nd
disk on the remaining SATA ch as a logical drive & therefore
unbootable. Disk0 is set to be the 1st boot device unless I'm trying
to boot from a floppy where Disk0 still remains unseen. This is a
pain because any disc images cannot be seen at the same time as disk0
if they are kept on the ext drive. Any ideas?
In the boot preferences, do you have all other options apart from the
boot drive set to disabled? I seems to have to do this on my P5Q,
otherwise it sometimes tries to boot from my external drive if it is
switched on.

Cheers Steve - now sorted from the advice given by Oldish Git on the Asus
NG. Disabling both Legacy keyboard & mouse functionality did the trick (I do
need to plug in both PS/2 devices if I boot into DOS!)
