It should be possible on HP's support website to find what OEM motherboard
was used in the build. HP have been about a bit, and construct HP branded
machines from parts obtained from all over the place ...
... unless they have a design need to cram it in a weird case.

if its a legacy compaq design thats likely I did keep a spare compaq psu in
the spares
cabinet with an odd power connector but I think it got the deep 6 last
clearout.
