I just want to buy a copy of Msoft office to use on my single user PC
without if packing in after n uses, m days or any other nonsense. Is
such a thing possible these days? I read adverts saying "can be
installed on up to three computers" wow that's so kind of them. So
does that mean after 3 upgrades to the same PC (eg new processor etc)
I have to buy another copy. No wonder there's so much piracy - not
advocating it just seeing why people are so p'd off with them.
No it doesn't mean that at all. You can install it on up to 3 different
computers as many times as you want on each.
The reason it's got product activation is because previous versions
didn't so people bought one copy and installed it on 100's of
computers.
