Yep, that is what I thought, an HDMI output on that integrated video
card wouldn't go amiss either.
If the TV has a DVI input, the only benefit of using HDMI instead
would be if it was carrying the audio signal as well, which you can
do with ATi graphics cards.
So are you saying that a mobo such as this one
http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=149&l3=639&l4=0&model=2252&model
menu=1
will only carry a video signal and no audio via the HDMI output?
No, it will deliver both video and audio through the HDMI output, as it has
an "Integrated ATI Radeon HD 3200 GPU"
The page you linked to makes it clear at the bottom:
HDMI Support
Enjoy Full HD 1080p Multimedia Home-Theater Entertainment
High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is a set of digital video
standards that delivers multi-channel audio and uncompressed digital video
for full HD 1080p visuals through through a single cable.
That looks like a great motherboard to use in an HTPC.
