For low ltravel keyboard I bought a cherry stream ultra flat (G85-23000GB-2)
Nice build quality and I find the key action ok. Moderately easier to clean
than a full travel keyboard. Very low profile but can be raised at the back
if need be.

I have a similar keyboard (M82-24700GB) and like it. The key action
(flat, laptop-style, short travel) matches the OP's description without
feeling cheap.

Prior to this I had preferred full-travel, clicky keyboards but have
grown very used to this one.
