Just like XP, there are retail, OEM and corporate versions of win2k with

NOT corporate, VLK (Volume Licence Keyed) versions (admittedly,
generally used by corporates or small to medium businesses).

different keys and slightly different disks. You can convert from one to
the other by editing setupp.ini. You probably want one of these:

--------Full OEM:-------------------------
[Pid]
ExtraData=64766769766D6B766768820497EA44
Pid=51873OEM
--------Full Retail:----------------------
[Pid]
ExtraData=6E797875766D79686E691614846D8A
Pid=51873000
--------Retail Upgrade:-------------------
[Pid]
ExtraData=6166656C736263737373B2574A0581
Pid=51874000

Corp versions will have a Pid ending in 270 instead of 000.

You mean VLK versions. :-)

You can copy the i386 folder onto another hard drive (or partition) and
run the install that way or you can take the opportunity to slipstream
SP4 and do a bootable CD of each flavour.
