I suspect you are thinking of the ex army man's greenhouse?
o Solar powered fan to push heated air down a tube
o Bottom of tube has an insulated box of glass
o Air percolates through the glass, heating it up
o At night the fan runs on battery, pumping heat out
Your design has several (worse) shortcomings.
o Stone thermal store has low surface area to air
o It would work well in summer - when least needed
o It would work poorly in winter - when most needed
So I suggest spending the money on insulation, walls, ceiling and
importantly the floor area too.
Otherwise any heating you put in is soon lost - particularly from any
solar store.
For acoustics, there should be no obstruction at the intake of a fan
equivalent to 100-150% depth. The ideal figure being 150% with 100%
the more practical figure at least where PCs are concerned. Avoiding
back-to-back except in server environments where noise is immaterial &
density is material.
A lot of insulation and a tube heater with thermostat can do very
well.
Smiths thermostats are now digital, tube heaters are cheap & various
outputs.
If you have Economy 7 that can be useful for boosting overnight, with
a simple fan heater during the day with runback timer if you wish
(Dimplex VE range, adjustable from 5mins to 1-2hrs or so).
Suppliers of polystyrene or better kingspan/celotex (more insulatory
value for the same thickness).
Thermal store (ground) works well with piping & *heatpump*, but a lot
of piping is required.
Nothing to stop you rigging up one of those, boosting the CoP air-to-
air efficiency in winter.
