I'm hoping that there is some kind of refresh process that will update
the LAN to reflect the new structure. If not I might be in the poop.
I'm unsure that your symptoms are related, but this is worth a shot:

Normally Windows doesn't retain network browsing information between reboots, so this would need to be a genuine identification problem.
