Hi.
I'm thinking about swapping the system and cpu fan connections on my
motherboard - Foxconn 6150M2MA.
I have the latest BIOS and can enabled a BIOS SmartFan control for the
CPU but the system fan has no SmartFan control.
My CPU fan is nice n quiet and could run at full speed with no
SmartFan control if connected to the motherboard's system fan plug.
And my 'noisy when running' system fan could be connected to the
motherboard's cpu fan plug and only come on when cpu temp is high.
Both fans use the 3 pin connections so no problems there.
What does everyone(!!) think?
Is it a simple swap and is it a good idea?
Thanks.
Martin.
Do you actually need a sys fan? Why not disconnect it and check temps to see
if you really need it.
.
