Hi all,
currently running Vista on a dual core machine (AMD 64 Live, 5600+)
with 3 gig of RAM. I regularly have a good few applications
running, including Outlook (which has 3 gig of email online at the
moment), as well aas running games like Lord of the Rings online. Just
wondering if anyone has a similar specced machine and has got a
readyboost enabled memory stick plugged in, and if it makes a
difference? i`ve found it can get a bit sluggish swapping between
applications
when everythings going at once, just wondering if Readyboost will
make a difference, or if I need to start getting rid of old emails
etc :-)
ReadyBoost has no noticeable effect if you have 2GB or more of RAM,
in my experience. I even get the feeling that things are slightly
slower.

I'd second that. Tried it on a vista box we have here with 2Gb of memory.
Added a fast 2gig flash drive and couldn't see any difference, even if the
PC was pushed hard.
