Sorry, I wrote that wrong. My strike was at the build of Acronis's original boot CD having USB problems - not BartPE.

Any comments on backup speed using USB hard drives and Acronis?

No comments from me. Never noticed anything too slow. I back up my laptop wirelessly as well.

I've just had a 'synapse' about doing just that in the last ten minutes!
