Dell PSUs have been known to be hard to replace without buying a dell

Dell haven't used proprietary PSUs connections in their non-server
machines for about six years, although some of the cases restrict your PSU
choice. The motherboards have gone from an entirely non-standard form
factor to BTX a few years ago to possible-mATX recently.

Have the stopped using the predesigned sub chassis with fixed standoffs
as well ? those used to bug the hell out of me invariably have had to tear
them off to fit a standard ATX board and those daft bare floppy drives
with no facia plate and oddball eject buttons?
