thanks

I just had trouble with 2 keys, a dell usb key and an "easy disk" one,
finding drivers for windows 98.

I've found the generic Win98 USB mass storage drivers to be compatible
with anything we've used

thanks.. that works great..

a few points

the disgo key with its drivers may not be so fantastic.. one time I
plugged it in and it did not refresh. I had to "safely remove it" (or
eject it, in disgo driver terminology) and plug it back in.

The Dell usb key - I have usually got dell keys, they are reliable -
though most keys may be reliable.

The generic driver..
The link you gave had no content on it, but the content was available
from www.archive.org. And link to the driver is still up

http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/drivers/nusb22e.exe

it is worth noting the filename nusb22e.exe for the sake of
googling..

And on that technical-assistance site, it says

Windows 98 USB Mass Storage Device drivers available that should work.
These drivers should work with most "USB Mass Storage Devices". This
means that these drivers will work many makes and models of the
following:

* USB Flash Drives
* Digital Photo and Video Cameras (that connect to the PC via USB)
* USB Hard Drives
* MP3 Players
.......
Windows 98 Generic USB Mass Storage Device Drivers

note- when installing, i think it referred to itself as usb disk
drivers, and that is really what it is. Digital cameras, mp3 players
are a bit like small usb keys or drives, as a small function + another
big function.
