Re: Fan for Sapphire X800 card?

The fan on my graphics card has become very noisy. How easy is it to replace, and where do I get a replacement from? The fan is about 2 inches across, in a sort of exhaust housing. There seem to be 3 screws holding it on from the back side of the card. I haven't taken it apart, so I don't know whether the fan comes away from the housing or whether that's all glued together.

X800s (whether AGP or PCI-E) seem to have a fairly standard 2-hole heatsink mounting, so there shouldn't be much of a problem obtaining a compatible cooler. QuietPC has handy compatibility matrices:

Note that you generally replace the whole heatsink/fan assembly rather than just the fan. The fans are non-standard, and the heatsinks tend to be inadequate anyway.
