Home Premium cannot be the host with Remote Desktop. You need XP Pro or Vista Business/Enterprise/Ultimate. The home version do not have it, just like XP Home.


Happily, there seems to be a registry hack to make this work because as Trevor suggested, it's in there anyway to support remote assistance.

Whether it makes Vista Home behave weirdly after is an interesting question.
