Got a laptop in with a strange problem. It's running XP, and IE won't
open certain web pages.
Most are fine, but any of the google domains aren't working - no error
message, just a blank page. Other browsers are fine. DNS
resolution's fine, I've reset the TCP/IP stack, run the regsrvr32
urlmon.dll stuff, updated to IE7, reset all IE options for security/
encoding etc, scanned for spyware and antivirus and nothing's turned
up.
The *really* weird thing is if I open up a problem webpage and do a
"view source" then the source is there - it's just not displaying it.
Best guess I have at the moment is some weird malware that's doing
something odd with a hidden proxy.
I'm about to flatten the install as I've run out of ideas but any
suggestions welcome...anyone seen this before?

The same happens here, IE7 can't open a page which I know is OK.
It is a page which I have to use for my work. But I use FireFox
for such cases.
