OT Vista HP and AVG

Friend received new Acer 5633 Laptop today fully loaded to the hilt as
expected with Norton...!

Used the Norton uninstaller and thats now gone.

After installing AVG 7.5 its now BSOD-ing pretty much soon after start up...

Have removed it again and letting windows do its automagical updates (28
needed apparently!)

Is there any issue with AVG and Vista ???

My first thought was a memory problem (2gb fitted)
