Good point. Well spotted.I use Word 10 myself normally; but not a lot of people like using
Word for building websites. Some use Front Page, others use
Dreamweaver or Fireworks. I'm just starting a trial of Xara
Webstyle.
Fireworks is the sister program for Dreamweaver, and is for
web-graphics, not web-design.
As is WebStyle isn't it? I haven't used that for a few years.
Webstyle's a funny one; it's like a sister and a complimentary
program, also an annexe of all the other Xara apps. They've renewed
everything with newer versions since you used it I suppose, and
they're all rather expensive but sort of make up a total web
creation and editing suite together. - I used to use Webstyle 3;
which appears to be a bit like ScreenMaker 4 IIRC but more advanced.
- I think they're just making as many seperate programs as they can
these days and charging a lot for each of them.
-I'm watching Big Brother as I'm typing and I've just realised that
I've written this somewhat in the combined style of Ziggy and Jonty!
I think I'd better watch the telly and write anything else later; as
the twins are now having something that looks like an orgy in the
garden with Liam and Jonty.
I've just looked at the Xara website, and all three of their current
programs are graphics programs and they do not seem to make a
web-design tool.
WebStyle is a graphics program used to make web-graphics. It appears
to be able to 'slice' graphics, just like Fireworks or the old Adobe
ImageReady (some of those abilities are retained within Photoshop).
Maybe you should read the WebStyle webpage detailing its role in
web-design: http://pages.citebite.com/l2x0d9w4y9phi
ss.
I was just wondering if there was anything that I contribute which you're
not going to post in disagreement to if you possibly can. Perhaps I should
have added "In my opinion...", but since I'm the only person posting my
thoughts I'd have thought that would be quite obvious anyway. Xara may say
something different; but I have a mind of my own and don't always go along
with what other sources state.
