I (actually I'm trying to help the mother in law) am trying to use a website which requires logging in and uses Flash.
Its here in case anyone is interested.

I can get it to work fine on my XP machine, the login and password boxes are in the middle of the screen, but on her Vista machine I am drawing a blank. Flash is intalled but the boxes don't appear and a pop up alert warns about permissions.
Is there a problem with Vista and Flash? Is there a tick I can put in a box somewhere that may help?
Yes there is a problem with Vista and Flash Player. I am not sure if this is still current, as I have been avoiding the issue due to experience. I am surprised if Adobe and Microsoft haven't sorted this out.
When you use the Disk Cleanup Wizard, and select 'Clean up downloaded program files', it breaks the Flash Player. It doesn't get rid of it completely, so the web installer at the Adobe site thinks that it is already installed.
You need to install it using the standalone installer to fix it, and remember not to select that entry in the Disk Cleanup Wizard until this is finally fixed.
