Hi all,
I`m in the process of changing PC`s, and will be disposing of my current
machine, which has dual 128 meg 6600GT graphics cards. The machines I`m
buying come with Radeon X1300 cards with 256 megs of RAM (yes they`re
Dell machines :-) ). The question i, all other things being equal, both
cards being PCI express, which would give better performance in games?
Both machines will have a dual core processor and a minimum of 2 gigs of
RAM (one is much more powerful than the other, but both are fairly well
specced). I`m not comparing the two machines, rather just the two
graphics cards. I can stick the 6600GT`s into the machiens and then sell
on the X1300`s, but it`s only worth doing if it`d improve the
performance. otherwise I may as well sell the 6600GT`s and leave the
cards in as delivered.

Any opinions? Any ideas of a site that might have a direct comparison of
the two cards?

Thanks for your advice!

If that Dell machine has dual Radeon X1300 cards, it must be running them
with Crossfire support, no? Wouldn't you need SLI support for the dual
GeForce 6600GT cards? I don't think that there are chipsets that support
both Crossfire and SLI.

Sorry, it wasn`t entirely clear. There are 2 new Dell machines, each with a
single X1300 card. One of the PC`s they`re replacing has dual 6600GT
graphics cards - meaning one each is available for the Dell machines. I`m
just looking at replacing the X1300 in each Dell machine with one of the
6060GT`s
