You may have duff memory - if you have more than one memory stick,
remove one at a time until it works.
I was thinking that might be the problem and I only have one stick of
memory.
So run memtest86 overnight. If it passes that you're probably Ok, but you could try Prime95 torture tests. However before you panic, go clean out the temporary folders, just in case some cr&p is lurking there.
Then look at the mobo for bulging/leaking caps, which can cause almost anything to happen.
