But you may end up spending more than you would replacing (some) hard
drives with bigger ones and using fewer enclosures, unless they're all
500+gig jobs already. Lots of hard drives in the TV enclosure are
noisy, too - beat frequencies are a killer.

which is a good deal more useful and RAID-ey than USB-connected HDs
direct to a media centre, and talks various stream protocols over
gigabit ethernet.
