I am constructing a system with two SATA drives and RAID1...I thought FDISK
(mirroring). I will need to partition these disks.
Should I use FDISK to do this job, the same as with IDE (parallel
ATA) ?
Is RAID transparent to the partitioning process ?
Or should I FDISK each SATA drive individaully ?
Alternatively, can I partition the SATA drives from Windows by using
Partition Magic ? Would RAID present any problem to doing this ?
Thanks for any replies,
Fred.
had been dropped post WinME? You may have problems with large SATA
disks and WinXP SP1 for example
Fdisk is still very useful for creating/partitioning a (virgin) drive in
FAT32, whether or not one intends to use XP, ME, 98, whatever.
