Disk partitioning with SATA and RAID1

I am constructing a system with two SATA drives and RAID1 (mirroring).
I will need to partition these disks.

Should I use FDISK to do this job, the same as with IDE (parallel ATA)
?

Is RAID transparent to the partitioning process ?

Or should I FDISK each SATA drive individaully ?

Alternatively, can I partition the SATA drives from Windows by using
Partition Magic ? Would RAID present any problem to doing this ?

Thanks for any replies,

Fred.
