You'd probably pay about the same now for a notebook with equivalent or slightly better graphics, the CPU and Memory would've gotten faster and the hard drive larger obviously but you really do get what you pay for... notebook graphics haven't got any cheaper or that much more powerfull in the £ 750 price range it seems the only significantly faster parts are the CPU & slightly faster memory + larger hard drive and perhaps 1GB instead of 512. No doubt you could of bought a more expensive notebook back then that had even faster graphics.
