Currently have 2x512MB DDR400 in my system, if I were to upgrade the
memory would there be noticable difference going to 4x512MB vs. 2x1GB?
Would still be DDR400.
In many cases, using lots of modules causes the memory to be operated at a
lower clock speed. Check your motherboard manual.
Other than that, there is basically no difference except the obvious: you
could add even more RAM at a later date if you have two 1GB modules
installed.
