You should have seperate tabs - General, Sharing, Security and
Customize. Sharing covers the network sharing (oddly enough!), but
also has a permissions button - that sets the permissions to access
the share from the network, not the security on the folder itself.

If it comes up with a complaint that you have no rights when you enter
the security tab, you can still go into Advanced, then Owner, and
choose yourself (and tick the Replace Owner box at the bottom).

If you don't have a Security tab, I've no idea! I'm working under
XPsp2 Pro.

If you don't have a Security tab: Go to Control Panel -> Folder Options -> select View tab. Make sure "Use simple file sharing" is not checked.
Note this only works in Win XP Pro - in Win XP Home yo are stuck with simple file sharing.
