Oops, I didn't read the original post properly. He said
he's using Windows XP.
I know my advice works for Windows 98; I don't know
whether the same thing is worth trying with Windows XP.
For XP, the same thing is: Boot off the XP CD, choose the Recovery
Console, follow the prompts. Then "fixmbr" should sort you. I always
follow up with a "fixboot" as well, but I think that's just habit.
