Yes, they were all Maxtors...

After recent discussion of their fail rate I turned away from Maxtor after
many uneventful years, and bought a pair of WD 300GB's about 3m ago. One
of them went into meltdown yesterday, reallocating sectors faster than I
could keep up and vibrating like a washing machine on spin.

That's karma, innit..... :o)
