Re: MB + CPU

I have a budget of £150... give or take a few pounds.
I want to buy a new MB and a new CPU, I have a case, power supply,
memory (if it will swap) and a HD, and DVD ROM. These items can be
installed/built around the new MB and CPU
But... what MB & CPU to buy ? ? ? ?
I might come unstuck with the graphics card as all the ones I have now
are AGP.. not PCI, so this might have to come out of a budget I have
yet to invent , but I need to get MB & CPU to start off with :-)

Motherboards have now moved to DDR2 and PCI-ex. But if you want to reuse
some parts, DDR and VGA (quite reasonable if on a budget), you might pick
a previous generation motherboard at a computer fair with CPU to go with
this. Probably for less than your budget.
