I've just bought a 250GB Hard Drive and am having a few problems

Trying to resolve a formatting problem I downloaded Western Digital's

I would like FAT32 as it is intended for an external IDE to USB box
for use with numerous computers including an older Win98.
Are there any size issues with FAT32.
As I understand it, it's recommended that you don't go over 32GB as the cluster size with FAT32 at that point can potentially lead to a lot of wasted space. I think that above 32GB the cluster size is 32K so if you have a 1K file it takes up 32K of space regardless, which is probably a complete oversimplification, and with the size of storage probably not that important anyway. So, you just need to use something other than the WD tool if it won't let you do it and it's what you want.
