It is in IRQ 20 and this is not shared

So we've eliminated the disk, the processor, the cache, the memory, the
PCI bus/southbridge, the filesystem and the software that controls
these. You've already eliminated the NIC and the cabling. It almost
*has* to be something protocol related at this point. Have a look at
your primary network connection from the network settings control panel
applet. What protocols are listed? Have your got QoS enabled? IPsec? Do
you have anything other than TCP/IP in that list (excluding MS
filesharing and net logon, such as IPX)? Can you transfer a file from
the laptop to the desktop without corruption?

I still have a suspicion that it's packet fragments causing the problem,
but one has to troubleshoot these things logically.

I have the following (all ticked):
Client for Microsoft Networks
File and Printer Sharing
QoS Packet Scheduler
Microsoft TCP/IP version 6
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

I am trying to find my MTU in registry but there is nothing in there for MTU
I searched under:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\
Interfaces\] and then an entire reg search for MTU...nothing.
