I have XP home and seem to constantly have a yellow shield in the taskbar
waiting for me to send it updataing.
Can it do this automatically and just let me know when its finished? I
have
looked around for an appropriate setting but cant find it.
My computer, right click, properties, automatic updates, pick the first
option.
This is how I have it set.
Oddly it seems to be downloading and installing the same update over and
over again.
Then set it to 'ask me', and them tell it not to install, and further not to tell you about that update again. Or google for the fix to that problem (MS knowledgebase .. something to do with the update catalogue on your PC getting corrupted iirc).
