Bought the microsoft 1000 desktop and very disappointed.

Was thinking of giving Logitech a go. Any recommendations?

I have to disagree with GSV.
I use several Logitech wireless desktops.
Don't remember the numbers for kb/mouse sets
but the MX700 mouse (that I'm using now) is
superb.
The bluetooth desktop (MX5000?) is imho not
quite as good but maybe I'm not fully used to it.
All modern Logitech kb's have positive feel (if you
know what I mean).
Stop blathering. Yep I like Logitech mouses & kbs.
Have previousy used MS stuff, I think Logitech kit is
far superior.

Neither you nor the OP have yet defined what 'superior' actually means.
