There goes another good company...

Good from the point of view that they make lots of money, so someone
must be using them. However, stories of abysmal customer services are
abound, both in newsgroups and in magazines. Everything is designed
to be off-hand with to contact number to phone if you run into
problems with an order. All you can hope for is automated email
replies.

Agreed.
Dabs have some good prices and a decent website but they were appalling when
I tried to get a dead router replaced.
They basically insisted that a 3 month turn round was good service and that
I should be grateful they did anything at all.

They have an enormous advertising presence in computer mags, this must be
a deciding factor for their 'success'. I bet they get business from
corporates, schools, government and such like. Hehe I once bought directly
over the dabs counter when they were in Bracknell, but that outlet somehow
disappeared. That was only the first sign...
second sign, the first was the move from Knaphill to Bracknell (I'm
still using the case/PSU I bought over the counter, but the rest has
changed)!

The reply address is a spam trap. If you need to reply directly, put the UK where it should be - first.
